This half-English half-Brazilian emerging artist obtained a BA and an MA from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London. Whilst focusing on sculpture, Catherine also developed her interest in photography and performance during her time at Central Saint Martins; also using this time to explore her work outside of education through a number of solo and group exhibitions in the UK, Belgium and France. Catherine's work has been concerned with the performativity of the body in both word and object. Catherine is currently pursuing a PhD at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London, with her Research centring on models of reflection, reflection as a form of exchange between the human body and the object, to investigate the embodiment of the art object; with this being informed by Feminist theories, Narcissism in Romanticism and Surrealism.
